About the Course

The OSHA General Industry Outreach Training course helps workers and employers better understand workplace hazards and the measures that can be taken to prevent injuries and illnesses. The 10-hour course provides workers with an introduction to important occupational safety and health topics, while the 30-hour course offers more extensive training appropriate for supervisors, managers, safety personnel, and others with workplace safety responsibilities. Through practical instruction and real-world examples, participants develop stronger hazard-recognition skills and a better understanding of worker rights, employer responsibilities, and safe work practices. Participants who successfully complete the applicable course receive an OSHA Outreach Training Program student course completion card.
